Get ready for a high-energy night of competition, music, and nonstop dancing at OCC Road House.

The High Octane Dance Classic brings together dancers from across Florida for a full-scale competition on the largest dance floor in the state. With multiple divisions, belt buckle awards, and open dancing throughout the night, this is built for both competitors and spectators.

Event details

Doors open (practice): 4:30 pm
Registration & check-in: 4:45 pm – 5:30 pm
(no registrations accepted after 5:30 pm)
Competition begins: 6:00 pm

Divisions

  • Diamond (40+) – men & women combined
  • Ages 21–39 – men & women
  • Ages 15–20 – men & women
  • Swing partner division – partners compete together (same-sex partners welcome)

Divisions may be combined if minimum participation is not met.

Awards

Winners in each division will receive custom High Octane Dance Classic belt buckles for:

  • 1st place
  • 2nd place
  • 3rd place

Registration & pricing

Presale (by July 15):

  • $15 per competitor
  • $30 per swing pair

After July 15:

  • $20 per competitor
  • $40 per swing pair

Day of event:

  • $25 per competitor
  • $40 per swing pair

All competitors must complete a registration form in addition to purchasing entry.

Spots are limited to 500 total competitors.

Spectator admission

  • 21+ admission: free
  • Under 21:
    • $12.50 in advance
    • $15 at the door

Under 21 spectator capacity is limited to 300 guests and is expected to sell out.

Seating & VIP tables

Seating is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

Reserved VIP tables are available for purchase:

  • 6-person dance floor tables: $100
  • 6-person lounge tables: $90
  • 4-person high top tables: $60

VIP table purchase does not include admission for guests under 21.

Half of the dance floor will be dedicated to the competition, while the other half remains open for dancing all night long.

  • Registration closes at 5:30 pm on event day
  • Competitor spots are limited and may sell out in advance
